Digital Humanities Australasia 2012: Building, Mapping, Connecting

There will be 6 digital humanities workshops held at various venues (TBA) at the ANU, in association with ‘Digital Humanities Australasia 2012: Building, Mapping, Connecting’.

Full Day Workshops:
1. Computational Stylistics (max 20)
Professor Hugh Craig (University of Newcastle)

2. Digitising the Book (max 15)
Dr Peter Stokes (King’s College London)

3. Introduction to Document-based Encoding in TEI (max 15)
Dr Elena Pierazzo (King’s College London)

4. Introduction to Mapping and Spatial Visualisation (max 20)
Neil Jakeman and Paul Vetch (King’s College London)

Half Day Workshops:
5. Fundamentals of Data Management for the Humanities [MORNING] (max 30)
Dr Adrian Burton, Margaret Henty, Stuart Hungerford and Karen Visser (Australian National Data Service), Gavan McCarty (University of Melbourne), Professor Richard Maltby and Liz Milford (Flinders University)

6. Collaboration and Challenges in Digital Scholarly Editing [AFTERNOON] (max 30)
Professor Paul Eggert (Australian Defence Force Academy, University of New South Wales), Professor Peter Robinson (University of Saskatchewan, Canada) and Dr Desmond Schmidt (Queensland University of Technology)

Cost: $50 full day  and $25 half day.

The registration fee includes morning and/or afternoon teas, lunch if paying full day rate. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know by emailing Leena.Messina@anu.edu.au .  Vegetarians will be catered for.
