Welcome to Dr Kim Huynh, new HRC Deputy Director
Wednesday 1 February 2023

Please join us in warmly welcoming Dr Kim Huynh as the new Deputy Director of the HRC.

Kim has been seconded to the HRC one day a week from the School of Politics and International Relations at ANU where he has taught international relations and political philosophy courses.

Kim will be known to many in the ANU and Canberra communities, for his work at ABC Radio Canberra through to his academic publications including a collection of novellas entitled Vietnam as if... (ANU Press), Children and Global Conflict (Cambridge University Press) and The Culture Wars(Palgrave-McMillan). His biography of his parents Where the Sea Takes Us(HarperCollins) attracted academic and literary acclaim.

Kim’s dedication to public life, doing talks and facilitating discussions on culture and ideas, and his expertise in cross-disciplinary research make him an ideal fit for the HRC. We are hugely excited to have the opportunity to work with him.
