Professor Kylie Message announced as new Head of HRC
Wednesday 1 December 2021

The Humanities Research Centre is thrilled and delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Kylie Message as the new Head of the Centre following a competitive selection process.

Of the appointment, the Director of the Research School of Humanities and the Arts writes:

“Kylie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, having previously been Head of the ANU School of Archaeology and Anthropology, Interim Director RSHA, and Associate Dean HDR, in addition to her current roles as CASS Associate Dean Research and Deputy Head of the Humanities Research Centre.

Kylie is a leading scholar in Museum Studies, with an outstanding track record of highly interdisciplinary scholarship. She has strong collaborations with and connections to the GLAM sector and is a strong advocate for humanities research. As we begin to imagine emerging from the pandemic, Kylie is ideally positioned to lead the HRC into its exciting new chapter.”

Professor Message will be fully on board in early 2022.
