The HRC is honoured to announce the members of its inaugural International Expert Group. Members of this group are first and foremost intellectual leaders in Humanities scholarship. Secondly, they have current or recent experience directing a Humanities Centre internationally. This group’s remit is to build and consolidate international networks and partnerships for Humanities scholars, Centres, and graduate students across ANU and nationally.

The group’s foundation meeting will occur later this year. Any queries can be directed to the group’s convenor, Professor Kylie.Message-Jones@anu.edu.au

We’re delighted to introduce and acknowledge the founding members of this group:

  • Professor María del Pilar Blanco, TORCH: The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities, University of Oxford, UK.
  • Professor Bianet Castellanos, Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Minnesota, USA.
  • Professor Javier Duran, Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry, University of Arizona, and immediate past co-president Centre of Humanities Institutes and Centers (CHCI), USA
  • Professor Heidi Grunebaum, Centre for Humanities Research, University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
  • Professor Cajetan Iheka, Whitney Humanities Center, Yale University, USA.
  • Professor Anita Traninger, Dahlem Humanities Center, Freie Universität, Germany.
