Applications now open for HRC Internal Fellowships
Tuesday 14 February 2023

The Humanities Research Centre is now accepting applications for the 2023 RSHA Internal Fellowship and the 2023 RSSS Monograph Fellowship.

HRC Internal Fellowships are co-sponsored with CASS Research Schools to provide one semester of research-only time and sessional support to cover teaching responsibilities.

Up to two fellowships per year will be awarded to staff from the RSHA (one) and RSSS (one) to complete a book manuscript, substantial journal article(s), or equivalent non-traditional research output.

In 2023, these fellowships will both be offered in semester 2.

The main criteria for selection will be research excellence and the quality of the academic venue. In the case of monographs, preference will be given to scholars with a contract or commitment from a reputable academic publisher. Potential applicants are strongly recommended to discuss their proposal with their Head of School or the Director of the RSHA or RSSS.

Early- and mid-career researchers are encouraged to apply. Applications close Monday 17th April. Application information for both fellowships is available below.
